“I don’t know what it is about Baxter (therapy dog), his silent abilities, but I hear that he doesn’t really like me going on the record. He has the ability to soften and just alleviate whatever is going on in the courtroom especially with that young person who is in the courtroom.”
Judge Motoike, Presiding Juvenile Court Judge
CSEC STEERING COMMITTEE
In 2014, Senate Bill 855 clarified that children who are victims of exploitation will be served by the child welfare system, a system designed to protect and serve abused and neglected youth. It established an optional Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) program, prevention and intervention services, and training related to children who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation.
FAITH BASED ACTION COMMITTEE
The Faith Based Action Committee's goal is to engage in peaceful partnerships with faith based groups in the community and to help them better understand promising practices where services of faith can be successful in collaboration with the OCHTTF. The willingness to learn and work in coordination with law enforcement and victim services policies in place for the safety for all parties and victims involved is important.
